FLOR DE ACEITE - FIRST DAY OF HARVEST
DECANO has released FLOR DE ACEITE.
A special edition selecting best organic picual olives of the first day of harvest. An unfiltered Extra Virgen Olive Oil of green colour.
These family estates oil is farmed since more than 5 generations on the same grounds, located in the province of Andalucía.
The farm is completely certified organic and produces each year aprox. 350 tons of organic olive oil.
The olives harvested end of october to end of november are very low of fatty content. The oil of the first days of harvest is of outstanding quality and taste and therefore called "The flower of the oil" - Flor de Aceite.
Every harvest a limited quantity of this unique picual olive oil is available every year at the end of november.
Flor de aceite can be eaten along with bread or used as dressing with fish or meat.
It is very rich in polyphenols. This harvest of 2016/2017: (880mg/kg).
It is a fresh green oil with intense fruitness and a burst of flavours. Tasting like: Olive Leaf, green grass, artichoke and unripe tomatoes.
The oil with a medium bitterness and a slight sharp finish is though balanced due to its fruity taste.
DECANO EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL - HOMENAJE HOJIBLANCA
"Homenaje HOJIBLANCA" is a limited edition of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, made from the hojiblanca olive variety. Famous for its mild and fruity balanced taste. It has hints of fresh grass and fruits like apple and melon.
It is a very mild olive oil of yellow colour. It is harvested late when the oilves are very ripe.
It is the pure olive juice of the hojiblanca olive, cold pressed of course, milled a short time after harvesting.
It is obtained 100% from the hojiblanca olive.
DECANO EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
Our spanish Extra Virgen Olive Oil is a mixture of two olive varieties.
Hojiblanca & Picual olives. A combination of fruity mild olive and an olive of bitter and spicy flavour. Like ying and yang, they are due to their oppositional charater a perfect mix.
The oil is filtered, ensuring total removing of impuritites and moisture. A "must have" for the kitchen. The basic Extra Virgen Olive Oil for multiple use. One of the most traditional olive oils used in the mediterranean diet for decades.
This combination is a traditional familiar receipture.
Traditionally harvested in Andalusia, South Spain, using modernst technology to garantize the maximum quality.
The factory is also located in Andalusia and is certified IFS and BRC Food.
An own laboratory and permanent extern laboratory control ensure and outstanding quality.
decano Extra Virgen Olive Oil is low in acidity and rich in antioxidants and monounsaturated fats.
It is naturally high in polyphenols which provides many beneficial properties for the body, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effect.
